SPC Brett Butler - Path To Honor

SPC Brett Butler is a member of the 278th Armored Cavalry Regiment, TN. He enlisted in the Army National Guard in 2005. His service includes participation in Operation Jump Start, defending the United States border near Yuma, AZ; and in the GRAP program as a recruiting assistant.

I joined the Guard to give back what my country has given to me, and to know that I answered the call of my nation during war. The Guard has opened doors that I would not have had open to me if I had stayed in the civilian world. It has given me a new drive to complete my Pre-Med degree, and attend medical school. Once I obtain my degree, I plan on becoming a medical officer and a civilian doctor.
